This is
actually an unfinished project that I found recently (Spring 2009). During
my junior year in high school, my biology club took a trip to Big South
Fork Park for our annual field trip. While there, we took a hike into the
mountains and along the way saw many gorgeous wildflowers, each having its
own unique petal formation and colors. Several of the flowers caught my
eye such as, the lady slipper, the spring beauty, and this one, the
dwarf-crested iris. There was just something about its fragile beauty that
drew me to it. We nearly passed it up, but I stopped to take a few
pictures of it before catching up with my group. |
